1. Will employees have to re-post for their positions?
No. Specific work units and positions will be identified as moving to either the Northwood Shared Resource Center or remain with the Department of Children and Families. In other words, the person will move with the position to the designated organization.
2. Will we remain in our same position titles/functions?
Employees will remain in their current role during the transition. Modification of functions is expected in any change. Functional changes would be reflected in a new position description and discussed with the affected employee.
3. When will the list of effected positions be communicated?
A proposed table of organization is being developed for both NSRC and DCF. Positions to be moved are being determined at the present time and will be communicated with the affected employees first before a broader communication will be released. Your manager or supervisor will provide updates as decisions are made.
4. Will DCF and NSRC employees have to move offices?
Floor space and office location is continuing to be evaluated. The goal is to place employees of a particular work unit of either DCF or NSRC within the location that is most conducive to carrying out the functions of their job. If your area will be moved, your manager or supervisor will communicate that action with you.
5. Are other agencies bringing positions to the NSRC?
As other Agencies or Departments are consolidated into the Northwood Shared Resource Center a percentage of their technical support positions will also be assigned to the NSRC. The quantity will be determined by the Legislature.
