Welcome to the Northwood Shared Resource Center
The Northwood Shared Resource Center (NSRC) has been in operation for two years now and has been continually growing to support its partner agencies providing utility data center operations. Currently, the NSRC provides services to customers from the Department of Children and Families (DCF), the Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD), the Department of Revenue (DOR), the Department of Health (DOH), the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ), the Department of State (DOS), the Department of Citrus, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR), and most recently, the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles Office of Motor Carrier Compliance (MCC). Future hosting initiatives include the DCF Winewood consolidation, the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (HSMV), the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE).
The NSRC maintains a 24x7x365 operation with redundant power, back-up generators, redundant network connections as well as offsite disaster recovery.
We are working diligently to meet all customer needs as a utility computing operation. We are incorporating many cost reduction concepts leveraging installed hardware and software for sharing resources while maximizing efficient use of our technology footprint, licensing and maintenance/support models. This is directly reflected in our price model and should assist agencies in favorably considering the NSRC as a first option to helping meet their utility computing needs.
Gartner has rated the NSRC between tiers 2 and 3 (3 being the highest rating) on the Uptime Institute tier program rating system based on our ability to expand, existing raised floor space, power efficiency, and disaster recovery capabilities. We support enterprise initiatives and working collaboratively with our sister IT agencies and stand ready to support your needs in the most cost effective and efficient manner possible. Let us know how we can help.
